It’s 2026. A child forgotten in a car should not happen anymore. Yet, it could happen to anyone.

Gabri is a small radar sensor for your car, and an app for your phone.
01Clip on the Sensor
It clips to the back of a front headrest, and you pair it with the app once.
- 02
The app learns your week
It notices where your child goes, daycare on weekdays or Grandma on Tuesdays, and stays quiet on ordinary days.
- 03
Your phone rings when something is off
If you walk away with someone in the back, or park somewhere unexpected, your phone rings and the Sensor beeps. After 2 minutes without an answer, the people you chose are alerted.
Set it up once. It stays quiet until a day is different.

Why there is an app.
On its own, the Sensor can only sound an alarm inside the car. The app is how it reaches you. The app and every safety feature will be free.
Sensor alone
- Detects
- Movement in the back seat after you park.
- Can’t
- Alert you once you have walked away. It can only sound an alarm inside the car.
App alone
- Detects
- A day that is different from your usual routine.
- Can’t
- Tell whether anyone is in the back seat.
Gabri, together
- Detects
- Movement in the back seat, and a day that is different.
- Does
- Rings your phone, then your partner’s, wherever you are.
Built to move into the car.
The same Gabri software is designed to run on hardware many new cars already have, so a carmaker can offer it without adding a sensor.

- 1.5 billion
- Vehicles on the road worldwide
- 12.8 years
- Average age of a car in the US
Most cars on the road today were built before in-cabin child detection existed. The Gabri Sensor works in any car, from day one. When a car already has the hardware, Gabri is designed to use it instead.

We’re working to bring Gabri into every car that can carry it.

Presence, not health data
It is designed to notice that someone is there. It will report nothing about breathing or heart rate.
Privacy first
Your places and routine stay on your family’s phones by design. We keep as little as possible.
One system
The Sensor and the app are designed together. Once paired, a Sensor alert reaches the phones of everyone in your family circle.
Safety is free
The app and every safety feature will be free. No subscription for safety.

Questions, answered.
Does Gabri exist yet?
Yes. We have a working prototype of the Sensor and the app, and we are testing it right now. Kickstarter funds the production version: tooling, certification and the first batch. If the campaign is funded, we make it. If not, nothing is charged.
Do I need both the Sensor and the app?
They are designed to work as one. The Sensor notices someone in the back seat, and the app is how that reaches you and your family. Without the app, the Sensor can only beep inside the car.
What do I pay, and when?
Nothing on this site. Sign up with your email and we tell you the day the campaign opens. Early backers pay from US$49 on Kickstarter, and the planned price afterwards is US$99. The app is designed to be free.
When will it ship?
Only after a successful Kickstarter. We will share the timeline in the campaign and update backers as we go.
What if the Sensor’s battery dies?
Our design runs on your car’s power through a small plug, so there is no battery to charge. If power is lost, it is designed to play a short signal and the app shows that it needs attention.
What if my phone is off or out of battery?
The Sensor is designed to work without your phone. If it notices someone in the back and no family phone has been near since you parked, it will sound an alarm inside the car after about a minute.
Does it record anything?
No. The design has no camera and no microphone. The radar only notices that someone is there, and its readings stay inside the Sensor. Your places and routine stay on your family’s phones, and we keep as little as possible.
Which cars will it work in?
It is designed for most cars: it clips to the back of a front headrest and takes power through a small plug. We will publish a supported-car list in the campaign.
Gabri is a second check. It does not replace looking in the back seat.
