Privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data collected through this website is [COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS] (“Gabri”, “we”). You can reach us about anything in this policy at privacy@getgabri.com.
This policy covers this website only. The Gabri App and Sensor will have their own privacy notices before they are released.
2. What we collect and why
We collect only what is needed for the one form on this site.
- Kickstarter launch list. Your email address, country, and a record that you accepted this policy. We use them to tell you when our Kickstarter campaign goes live and to update you on the project. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Technical data. Like any website, our host processes your IP address, browser type and request time in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Signing up is not a payment and does not create a purchase contract. We do not collect payment details on this site. Backing happens on Kickstarter, under its terms.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking pixels on this site, and we do not set cookies for tracking. We do not ask for or collect precise location, photos, audio or video through this site.
3. Who receives your data
We use service providers (processors) who handle data only on our instructions:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States). Hosts this website and receives and stores form submissions (Netlify Forms). Its privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
- [EMAIL PROVIDER NAME, ADDRESS]. Sends our messages to you about the Kickstarter launch.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing.
We may disclose data when the law requires it or to protect our rights, and only to the extent needed.
4. Transfers outside your country
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When personal data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on an adequacy decision (for example the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or on Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Launch list data is kept until the campaign has ended and for 12 months after that, or until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period under its own retention settings.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to:
- give you access to your data and a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong;
- erase your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- move your data to another service (portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.
Write to privacy@getgabri.com. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD). You can complain to the authority in the country where you live or work.
7. California and other US states
In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (your email address) and coarse location (your country), from you directly, for the purposes in section 2. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not collect sensitive personal information. California residents can ask us to tell them what we hold, delete it, or correct it, and we will not treat you differently for doing so. Write to privacy@getgabri.com. You may use an authorised agent; we will verify your request by email.
8. Children
This website is for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to form submissions is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the authorities about a breach as the law requires.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
